Whippersnapper’s PEERS is a 3-month peer mentorship program for 5 emerging artists, curators, arts organizers and/or other cultural producers. Program includes honoraria and access to Whippersnapper’s resources for the months of February to May.
Whippersnapper PEERS is a 3-month peer mentorship program for 10 emerging artists, curators, arts organizers and/or other cultural producers. Program includes honoraria and access to Whippersnapper’s gallery space for the months of July – August.

This introductory session will provide you with the basic knowledge necessary to begin developing apps. You will be introduced to the core concepts of C4, learn how to draw shapes and text, as well as a brief introduction to touchscreen interaction.
This program started with a showcase of artists for the youth participants to decide who they wanted to work with. Danilo and Ekow facilitated deep conversations that lead to the participants determining the theme they wanted to work with: the connection between school and prison.
In 2014, Whippersnapper worked with the After 4 program in Alexandra Park Community Centre to provide 2 months of art-focused programming. Youth participants worked on portraits, collage, photography, and silkscreen.
In the summer of 2013, Concrete Roses, a youth organization based in Alexandra Park, invited Whippersnapper to facilitate 3 weeks of their Leaders in Training summer camp, to bring an arts focus in those weeks.
